Business Development Intern

About the job

As a startup, the environment is changing from day to day, so the tasks differ too. You will help volvero with key commercial activities to accelerate the company growth. You will assist CEO and management of the company and talk directly to potential partners. This internship will give you a full overview of various functions existing in a start-up and allow you take on tasks and collaborate with each of the departments be it a tech team, operations or marketing.

We are looking for someone initiative and willing to make a change by joining our young dynamic international team.

Travel expenses are included, and food vouchers are available, as well as other retribution on agreement. The offering is for a remote position that lasts for 6 months with a possibility of extension based on performance.

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor/Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional proficiency in English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience in business development/finance is a plus
  • In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis
  • Knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes
  • Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mindset
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities are paramount as the position involves liaising with customers and potential partners
  • Knowledge of Italian is strongly preferred
  • Geographical proximity to Padova is preferred
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support CEO and management in daily operational, business development, marketing activities
  • Developing and implementing commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth
  • Conducting market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.)
  • Understanding the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met
  • Act to acquire new customers and manage client relationships (new and existing)
  • Collaborate with diverse teams (marketing, sales, customer service etc.)
  • Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management
  • Assist in setting financial targets and budget development and monitoring
