Driver

How do I register?

You can sign up using your Facebook profile, Google account or any email account.
Once your account has been created, your identity will be verified via your mobile phone. During your first booking, we’ll guide you through the approval process: you’ll be asked for your driving license information so that we can verify your identity and eligibility to use the service. Make sure you do not enter other people’s details, otherwise, your account will be blocked and this may also lead to legal actions.

What are the requirements to be a driver?

To become a driver you should:

  • have a driving experience of at least 3 years,
  • register on the app with your real identity and address (provide an ID document),
  • have a driving license valid  in Belgium,
  • have a valid payment method for your booking,
  • have provided a valid telephone number and email address

What vehicles can I rent?

At the moment you can rent cars, SUVs, motorcycles, electric scooters and bicycles. Just make sure you have a valid driving license for the chosen vehicle!

When do I have to pay for the booking?

You pay immediately upon the booking of the vehicle. If the owner declines the booking, you will be refunded the total amount you’ve paid. If the trip duration is extended, the cost will also be recalculated and charged.

How do I pay for the booking?

Payment for the reservation can be made exclusively by credit/debit card that you have registered in the app.

Is my personal information shared with anyone?

Your name is visible to the owner. We do not share your personal information (such as an uploaded driving license) with owners or any other third parties. Volvero protects your personal data and uses it only to verify your profile and make sure you are eligible for driving a vehicle of your choice.

How do I check pre-existing damages?

Checking the condition of the vehicle is highly recommended when picking up the car; specifically, the driver must ensure that the conditions of the vehicle are in line with the description of the same loaded by the owner. In the event of pre-existing damage not identified at the time of the check, the driver will take care of reporting the damage to the Volvero team via the app. The Volvero team will check the pre-existence of the damage and guide the user in the procedure.

Is it possible to use a vehicle to go abroad?

Volvero doesn’t impose geographical or territorial limits, and it is possible to go all around Europe as long as the owner allows taking their vehicle abroad, and the timing is respected. You cannot go abroad in case the owner doesn’t allow international travels with their vehicle.

How do I get a free ride?

After you did your first ride with Volvero send us a message with FREERIDE via Instagram DMs or at info@volvero.com. You can use your free ride until the 20th of May, 2022.

How is my refund processed?

The refund is processed as soon as all verifications from Volvero are carried out, any necessary deductions will be communicated to the driver. The amount to be refunded is processed to the same mode of payment used by the driver within 7-10 business days.

Owner

How do I register?

You can sign up using your Facebook profile,  Google account or any email accountOnce your account has been created, your identity will be verified via your mobile phone. While uploading your vehicle you will have to share the existing vehicle insurance and other relevant documents confirming that you are the Owner of the vehicle.

What vehicles can I share?

Volvero allows for cars, motorcycles and recreational vehicles such as campers. They must have been registered in Belgium within the last 15 years and regularly insured with the compulsory third party liability coverage.

How can I share my vehicle on the app?

If you want to register as an Owner, it is necessary to enter the data related to your driving license, tax code, and preferred form of payment. You will then need to register your vehicle and provide your existing insurance and the basic information to complete the vehicle card. Do not forget to honestly mention the existing flaws your vehicle has. At the end of the procedure, you will receive a confirmation notification: welcome to the Volvero community!

Is my personal information shared with anyone?

We do not share your personal information (such as an uploaded driving license, existing insurance, tax code etc.) with Drivers or any other third parties. Volvero protects your personal data and uses it only to verify your profile and make sure you are eligible for sharing a vehicle.

Who can request a reservation from me?

A driver who has a driving experience of at least 3 years may book your vehicle.

How do I pay for the booking?

The place of return of the vehicle is established by the driver and owner at the time of sharing based on their needs. You can also use free parking spots reserved for Volvero users.

What is the minimum and maximum duration of a trip?

The minimum travel period is 24 hours, while the maximum duration is 7 days.

How much can I earn with the service?

The potential savings or gains on the vehicle depend on the duration of the sharing. Our team is always available for our users to help to maximize the effectiveness of their profile on the platform. A Stripe account also needs to be set up to allow for transfer of earnings.

What should I do if there are damages to my vehicle?

In the event of damage, report with a photograph of the extent of the damage through the dedicated section of the app. Our team will take care of optimally managing the report. Based on the nature of the damage it will be covered by either the insurance or the driver.

Is it compulsory for the car to have regular insurance?

Yes, each vehicle shared on the platform must be provided with its own insurance which would be supplemented by the protection offered by Volvero.
