This Month at Volvero – April 2020

Dear Volveroes,

We enter this new month, witnessing a world that might look, different, slower or even on standby. We deal with an unprecedented global scenario,where social distancing is the norm. What will get us through are knowledge, the right choices and humanity.

We’re in the middle of one of the greatest if not most important “what if” transportation scenario experiments in well over a generation. This is our moment to use this as an opportunity to future proof our systems to be more flexible, equitable and resilient.

The global perception is that activities are cooling down but Volvero is not moving any slower. There are always opportunities in every crisis so we are seizing the moment to reflect, while moving our attention from commercial and marketing activities to R&D by focusing on user experience, that crafts a smoother and frictionless service.

One thing we know for sure is that emergencies are not forever, so it is vital we react, by embracing the risks, as we keep brewing our platform. This is not going to be an easy task, but in this the way we can turn situations upside down, and be ready for mass adoption.
 
Lastly, despite the uncertainties there is an increased willingness to communicate so we are consolidating meaningful relationships with key players in transportation sector, and as we have understood by now: connections are vital to our society.

 

 

 

In the past Month

Wolves Summit, On March 24th and 25th, in its first Online Conference, that was a good opportunity to interact with  startups, Investors,  and realities from across all of Europe.

we graduated from Y Combinator’s Startup School, a program designed for start-ups with essential and strategic knowledge for development.

What’s Next?

We want to announce that we made it to the Finals of two major competitions.

  • We are one of the twelve finalist of GAMIC 2020, that will take place on the 24th of April. GAMIC’s mission is to identify innovative companies, and new tech in the automotive and mobility industries.
  • On the 24th of April Volvero will also be at the PowerUp! country finals in Greece, last step before the Grand Finale on the 3rd June in Poland. Here the challenge is to solve today’s problems with tomorrow’s technology.

Lastly, but not least we introduced a new format on our Blog: Mentors By Volvero.
We value the role of figures that are experienced and Inspiring such as Lorenza Morandini.
