Born and raised in Pozzallo, Sicily with a degree in business economics, a Master degree in industrial mechanics and years of experience in management and consulting for important multinationals:
Today, we are glad to interview, an important player in our team: Luigi Di Genova.

  1. What is Volvero in your own words?
Volvero is a new way to commute and travel, inside and outside our cities, an innovative vehicle sharing app that connects people who own a vehicle with those who need one. Volvero allows you to save money when renting a vehicle. Whether you’re a driver trying to save money on a vehicle rental, or an owner looking for an easy way to make some extra cash.
  2. What value do you add to the company?
I started with simple tasks as organizing presentations, managing deadlines and other organizational duties. Now I manage and follow the business development of Volvero.
  3. What is it that Volvero does best?
Volvero aims to reduce car ownership while making the usage more efficient, providing the proper mean of transportation when needed. This means less traffic jams, less pollution, eventually more healthy places for everyone and more savings.
  4. What are the main issues we have to tackle in today’s transportation challenges?
Today we need to finding ways to improve urban mobility while reducing congestion, accidents and pollution. Taking actions to reduce and control those factors is a major priority today for almost all the institutions, and it’s the right path to follow, in my opinion. In fact, as stated from an EU research about transportation, “Urban mobility accounts for 40% of all CO2 emissions of road transport and up to 70% of other pollutants from transport”

Volvero aims to reduce vehicle ownership while making the usage more efficient”

  1. How has the Corona Virus affected the transportation industry?
Since the restrictions have taken place in order to combat the virus, and flatten the contagions curve, we’ve seen an a heavy reduction in movements and travels that can be quantified between 73 to 86%.  This is just the first response, what we will need in the nearest future is to have more travelling, and commuting options in order to be able to maintain social distancing, which of course can’t always be applied on public transportation.
  2. In what ways can Volvero help tackling transportation demand during the Covid-19 crisis?
We can provide vehicles to healthcare personnel and associations for simple journeys, as well as helping mobility in general by helping  with the search of any vehicle, given the great reduction of public transport during this sensitive time.
  3. Why would you suggest Volvero to a friend?
One of Volvero’s strengths is that we also have strategic partnerships with car dealers so, this allows us to have a vast variety of vehicles, from cars to motorbikes, from commercial vehicles to campers etc.
  4. Last but not least… what Is your favourite quote?

“Nulla tenaci invia est via”
“No way is impossible for whom is tenacious enough”

Very insightful, that is all from Luigi.
